Kelsey Gouge named finalist in Gwinnett Chamber Moxie Awards

The Gwinnett Chamber inaugural Moxie Awards will recognize women who are making it happen. Recognized as an area leader, Kelsey Gouge, the 2017 NLL World Champion Georgia Swarm’s Marketing & Partnerships Manager, has been named a finalist in the Influence Award category.

“As a young woman building my career in the sports industry, it’s truly an honor to be named a finalist for the Moxie Awards,” Gouge said. “I’m proud to be recognized alongside these successful influencers in Gwinnett.”

“Kelsey has always been an exemplary Swarm employee and embodies all of the high characteristics we value as an organization,” Swarm Co-Owner and President Andy Arlotta said. “Her being named an Influence Award finalist confirms what we see from her daily, and we couldn’t be prouder of her achievement.”

Gouge, 24, is entering her third season with the Swarm. Kelsey started out as Marketing and Partnerships Coordinator in 2016, was promoted to Senior Coordinator in 2017, and then was promoted to her current position as Manager six months later.

She assists with strategic partnership presentations, agreements, and activations. In the 2017-18 season, Gouge helped the Swarm increase its sponsorship revenue to the best in its 10-year franchise history.

On the operations side of the business, Kelsey manages and directs all game day operations, including putting together scripts, executing all sponsor-related activations, and directing the show from start to finish.

The Moxie Awards will recognize individuals and organizations alike. Organizational awards will highlight companies that support the advancement of women, as well as those that are women-led. In addition, individual awards will honor those who are trailblazers in a male-dominated field, Gwinnett County champions, emerging leaders, professionals who are at the peak of their career and those who are generous with their time, talent or resources.

Designations will be given for the following awards.

  • Enlightened Employer Award
  • Greater Good Award
  • Influence Award
  • On the Rise Award
  • Outstanding Organization Award
  • Moxie Award
  • Pay It Forward Award

“We are fortunate to have such a standout network of women in Gwinnett,” said Alicia Krogh, vice president of programs & events at the Gwinnett Chamber. “This new program will give the Gwinnett Chamber an opportunity to thank and pay tribute to those who do so much for our community.”

The awards ceremony will conclude a two-part program on November 27. It will begin with a panel, featuring Kim Guthrie, president of Cox Media Group, Wendy Johnson, president of Dale Carnegie of Georgia, and Jenny Pruitt, CEO & founder of Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty. The event will take place at the Infinite Energy Forum from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, visit GwinnettMoxieAwards.com.
