Third-year forward Miles Thompson recorded a career-high 32 goals in 2017, and was yet again featured on SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays during the regular season for another one of this patented, no-look, behind-the-back goals. Miles, 26, recently say down with GeorgiaSwarm.com to share his thoughts on the team's success this season and the team's outlook for the postseason.

Q: How has this season with the Swarm felt compared to prior seasons?

MT: The difference between prior seasons and now is the offense. I feel like we are moving the ball a whole lot more. We are doing well on the defensive end by shutting the door and we have great goalies.

Q: What were your emotions like when you heard that the Swarm had won the East Division regular-season title?

MT: That was not a goal that we set for the season. There was not a ton of emotion there because the playoffs are a whole new season, and it is something that we are looking forward to. Hopefully we can become champions.

Q: What has the team done differently this season to reach and break these monumental milestones?

MT: It is the chemistry. There is chemistry with the team that is different.  I feel like we are a lot closer this year than in past seasons.

Q: With a first-round bye, how will you keep yourself prepared for the second round of the playoffs?

MT: I am not going to change anything. It will not be any different than any other weeks. I have to stay in shape and do my workouts. The only thing is that I will probably run a lot more than normal preparing for the playoffs. We could end up with more games being played back-to-back.

Q: You and your brothers are a rarity in professional sports. What is the benefit to playing alongside your brothers?

MT: The chemistry I have with my brothers is what makes a team. I feel like that is one of the benefits we have to bring to the team is the chemistry that we have playing together.

Q: How does being sponsored by NIKE push you to play harder on the turf every week?

MT:  It makes me want to be the best player I can be because NIKE goes after the best athletes. There is no room for slacking when you are with NIKE. I have to be on top of my game at all times.

Q: What do you do to prepare for the game on gamedays?

MT: In the morning we have our shootaround. After lunch, I like to get a nap in, but it is never longer than 45 minutes. Then I come back to the rink to get ready for the game.

Q: What does it take to be featured on the “NLL’s Versus” against yourself?

MT: I don’t know how that happened. It takes creativity to be featured against yourself, that is for sure.
