Matt Dunn named to USA Men’s Indoor Lacrosse Team

Dunn is the lone Swarm player to represent American during the 2019 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship

Georgia Swarm defenseman Matt Dunn will represent Team USA in the 2019 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship (WILC).

Taking place in Langely, B.C. from Sept. 19-28, the WILC takes place every four years since its inception in 2003. Team USA has won bronze in the four previous WILC competitions and will be looking to medal higher this September.

The 2019 WILC will be the first time Dunn will represent his home country in the international competition.

Dunn, 25, just completed his first season of professional indoor lacrosse, having signed with the Swarm as a free agent before the 2018-19 season. The University of Maryland alum demonstrated his learning ability and athleticism by quickly cementing himself in the Swarm back end. In his rookie campaign, Dunn played 16 games. He recorded six points (1G, 5A), collected 36 loose balls, and caused five turnovers.
