Face-off at 10:30 p.m. ET
The Bandits have a long weekend ahead of them, and it starts on the other coast with their lone game against the Warriors this season. They are coming off a thrilling overtime win against the Rochester Knighthawks. Meanwhile, the Warriors are coming back from the road in what was considered an upset against the New England Black Wolves, holding the top team in the East Division to just six goals.
Both teams will hope to continue their success in what’s shaping up to be an electric game at Rogers Arena this Friday night.
The Rush have had to sit and stew on their last game, a 12-6 home loss to the Mammoth two weeks ago. They get a shot at redemption with the third and final meeting between the two teams this regular season. The Mammoth, after their hot start to the season, have faltered of recent and have lost three of their last four games.
With no more bye weeks ahead, the Rush will be aim to start their stretch of 13 games strong, and the Mammoth will try and get their feet back under them in a very competitive West Division.
If you’re a Swarm fan, this is the most important game this week. Their next opponent, the Riptide, will be playing an inter-divisional bout against the Roughnecks, both teams coming off of bye weeks. The Roughnecks will play the Swarm on Feb. 22, going on a bye week after this Saturday’s game.
After their first win in franchise history, the Riptide have dropped two more games, being outscored by 12 goals in that pair. The Roughnecks are struggling to regain their championship form, having gone without a win in 2020. One team’s recent woes ends on Saturday, and both get to look forward to the Swarm being their next foe.
The second game of the week for the Warriors, they fly across the continent to take on the expansion Knighthawks. The Knighthawks played a competitive game against the Bandits last weekend, but they were unable to hold onto an eight-goal third quarter and lost in overtime to the home team.
Still searching for an elusive second win of the season, the Knighthawks will try and earn that at home against a Warriors team that has been rolling of late, no matter the result of the first game of their doubleheader weekend against the Bandits.
Another doubleheader, this time for the Bandits. Whatever the results of Friday’s game against the Warriors, the Bandits make the cross-continent trip back east to take on their North Division rival, the Rock.
Last Saturday, the Rock gave the previously undefeated Halifax Thunderbirds their first loss of the season, and they did it with a lineup plagued with injuries. This divisional battle will be huge for both teams and a great way to cap off a busy weekend of NLL action.
