(Tuesday, Sept. 8) – The National Lacrosse League’s Georgia Swarm today announced its 2016 regular season schedule. Georgia will begin its inaugural season in the NLL on New Year’s Day (Jan. 1) for a 9:30 p.m. ET road contest against the Colorado Mammoth at Pepsi Center.
The Swarm will host their first home game at Infinite Energy Arena (formerly The Arena at Gwinnett Center) on Saturday, Jan. 9 against the Toronto Rock at 7:05 p.m.
Georgia’s regular season schedule consists of 18 games from early January to late April, and nine home games at Infinite Energy Arena, which will seat 11,500 for Swarm games.
Lower Level Season Ticket Packages for the 2016 Swarm season start as low as $21 per ticket, per game, and can be purchased by calling 844-4-GASWARM or visiting GeorgiaSwarm.com/SeasonTickets. All Swarm home games feature FREE PARKING. Single-game tickets will be available for purchase in early October.

By opponent, the Swarm’s 18-game schedule breaks down as follows: Buffalo Bandits (Home: Feb. 14, April 2; Away: Feb. 20 = 3 total); Calgary Roughnecks (Home: March 25; Away: Feb. 6 = 2 total); Colorado Mammoth (Home: April 10; Away: Jan. 1 = 2 total); New England Black Wolves (Home: Jan. 17, April 15; Away: Feb. 28, April 23 = 4 total); Rochester Knighthawks (Home: March 18; Away: Jan. 30, April 16 = 3 total); Saskatchewan Rush (Away: March 12 = 1 total); Toronto Rock (Home: Jan. 9; Away: Jan. 29 = 2 total) and Vancouver Stealth (Home: April 30 = 1 total).
By month, the schedule breaks down as follows: January (2 home, 3 away = 5 total); February (1 home, 3 away = 4 total); March (2 home, 1 away = 3 total) and April (4 home, 2 away = 6 total).
By day, the schedule breaks down as follows: Saturday (9), Friday (5) and Sunday (4).
Georgia will also face two back-to-backs this season: Jan. 29-30 (@TOR, @ROCH) and April 15-16 (NE, @ROCH).
The Swarm will get the opportunity to strengthen their roster with a league-high four first-round selections in the 2015 NLL Draft on Monday, Sept. 28. Georgia holds picks Nos. 1, 3, 5 and 6 in the first-round as well as No. 20 in the second-round.
