(Duluth, GA) – The Georgia Swarm’s (11-4) contest this Saturday, April 22 against the Buffalo Bandits (6-10) will be the NLL Game of the Week and live streamed on Twitter. Faceoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at KeyBank Center. Swarm fans across the world can stream the game LIVE via NLL.twitter.com and is available on computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
The NLL announced its two-year live streaming partnership with Twitter on March 15, 2017. As the league’s exclusive live streaming partner, Twitter distributes a free live broadcast of an NLL Game of the Week each week since March 17. In addition to the regular season, Twitter will also air one game from the East Division and West Division finals. The entire best-of-three games Champion’s Cup series will be live streamed.
“We are thrilled to partner with the NLL as Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in North America,” Twitter COO Anthony Noto said in a press release in March. “Our collaboration will allow the highly passionate lacrosse community to watch live NLL games and join the conversation all on Twitter.”
Having locked up the No. 1 seed in the East Division last weekend, Georgia will also have one of its East Division Finals games live streamed on Twitter in May.
“We are incredibly excited for Georgia’s first-ever live streamed game on Twitter,” Georgia Swarm Co-Owner and President Andy Arlotta said. “This historic broadcast will expose the Swarm to sports fans all across the world as we go head-to-head against a strong division rival in Buffalo. Having clinched the No. 1 seed in the East, this weekend’s game is also a great opportunity to show fans what an exciting and talented team we have.”
The Swarm’s final regular season home game at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Field at Infinite Energy Arena presented by JT Stratford will be on Saturday, April 29 against the Rochester Knighthawks.
