2019 NLL Entry Draft to take place at Xfinity Live! in Philadelphia

ATLANTA (July 30, 2019) – The NLL announced today that Georgia Swarm sideline reporter Tabitha Turner will join the NLL’s talent lineup as a sideline reporter for the 2019 NLL Entry Draft. Turner will join the NLL broadcast team consisting up of Teddy JennerDevan Kaney, and Stephen Stamp at Xfinity Live! in Philadelphia, Penn. on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

“Tabitha has been an integral part of Swarm broadcasts ever since she joined the team in 2017,” Swarm Co-Owner and President Andy Arlotta said. “She has demonstrated her expertise in box lacrosse over the years, and the NLL bringing her on as a sideline reporter for the 2019 Entry Draft shows that her hard work is catching eyes on an international level. We’re proud that she will represent the Swarm organization on the B/R Live broadcast.”

Turner joined the Swarm during the franchise’s world championship-winning season in 2017. Outside of her work as the sideline reporter during Georgia Swarm home broadcasts, Turner provides color commentary for the Georgia Tech Men’s and Women’s basketball teams on ESPN3/ACC Network Extra and WREK Radio. She is also a contributor for 11Alive on Sports Extra and 680 The Fan and Atlanta Sports X Radio. Turner had previous stops as the sideline reporter for the Atlanta Dream.

A native of Miami, Fla., Turner is a graduate of the Connecticut School of Broadcasting and holds degrees in civil engineering and marketing management from Georgia Institute of Technology, where she played basketball and lettered for four years.

“I’m honored to be joining the NLL draft broadcast team this September while representing the Swarm,” Turner said. “Over the past three seasons, I’ve come to learn a lot about our league’s players and their various backgrounds, and I am truly excited to help tell the stories of the NLL’s future players on such an exciting night in their lives.”

The 2019 NLL Entry Draft will broadcast live for free on B/R Live and the NLL’s social media platforms, with live coverage starting at 6:30 p.m. ET. This year’s draft will be highlighted by the New York Riptide and re-vamped Rochester Knighthawks participating in their inaugural drafts.

The NLL’s Devan Kaney will serve as anchor and host. She will be joined on set by Teddy Jenner, NLL Insider and the voice of the Colorado Mammoth, and veteran draft expert Stephen Stamp of Inside Lacrosse.
