Mike Poulin and Jordan Hall Continue to Contribute to the Georgia Swarm from New Roles within the Orginization

DULUTH, Ga. (March 22, 2023) – After announcing their retirements prior to the 2022-23 season, Mike Poulin and Jordan Hall publicized they wanted to remain involved with the Georgia Swarm organization and move into coaching positions.

Poulin and Hall started the season off in more analytical and behind the scenes roles, developing strategies, analyzing film, and assisting from afar. Though their knowledge was helpful, the two began to take their journey to the next step and coach from the sidelines alongside Head Coach Ed Comeau and Assistant Coach Sean Ferris on Feb. 18.

The duo are the newest additions to the coaching staff assisting Comeau and Ferris. Given their expertise and positional experience, Hall is working with offense while Poulin helps with defense and of course goalies.

The Georgia Swarm was delt a difficult schedule to start off the season that turned into a seven-game losing streak. Since Poulin and Hall have joined the coaching crew on the bench, the team posts a 3-2 record.

The pair first teamed up beside Comeau and Ferris in Toronto where the Swarm fell, 16-7 to the Toronto Rock. The coaching staff and team turned things around after the tough loss to dominate the Albany FireWolves 20-4 the next week at home, marking Georgia’s first win of the season. The Swarm went on to win back-to-back games against the FireWolves and pick up one more over the Philadelphia Wings.

A once 0-7 record became 3-8, still in playoff contention. The skill and energy Hall and Poulin bring to the team paired with the expertise of Comeau and Ferris have made this team a real threat in the second half of the season.
