ATLANTA, Ga. (March 9, 2026) – LifeLink of Georgia is partnering with the Georgia Swarm to present Heroes Night on April 12 at 4 p.m. at Harrah’s Cherokee Casinos Field at Gas South Arena. It’s an inspiring evening dedicated to honoring organ donors, transplant recipients and the everyday heroes whose generosity saves lives.
Throughout the game, fans will have opportunities to learn about organ donation, hear powerful stories of impact and register as organ donors onsite. With more than 3,000 Georgians currently awaiting a lifesaving transplant, the event aims to raise awareness and encourage the community to take action.
“LifeLink of Georgia is honored to partner with the Georgia Swarm to expand organ donation education through the team’s passionate and engaged fanbase,” said Kelly Cullen, Chief Operating Officer of LifeLink Foundation. “This collaboration allows us to reach new audiences, spark meaningful conversations and ultimately help save more lives through organ donation.”
A special ceremonial ball drop will recognize a donor family whose loved one gave the gift of life. During the on-field moment, the family will participate in a symbolic face-off ceremony alongside Swarm players, offering fans a powerful reminder of the real lives impacted by organ donation. The family will be joined by additional community heroes, including representatives from Northside Hospital, Georgia Power and the Georgia Department of Public Safety.
As part of the partnership, Georgia Swarm goalie Brett Dobson will appear in a public service announcement encouraging fans to register as organ donors and highlighting that a single organ and tissue donor can save up to 75 lives. From his experience living with diabetes, Brett brings a personal connection to the cause and understands firsthand the challenges faced by individuals living with chronic illness.
Together, LifeLink of Georgia and the Georgia Swarm are turning game day into an opportunity for education, awareness and lifesaving impact across the community.
About LifeLink® Foundation
LifeLink Foundation was established more than 40 years ago with a mission to honor the lives of organ and tissue donors by providing renewed hope to as many people as possible through organ and tissue transplantation. Our organ procurement organizations support and guide families through the donation process as they establish their loved one’s legacy through organ and tissue donation. Their collaborative efforts, together with those of LifeLink Tissue Bank and LifeLink Transplantation Immunology Laboratory, give hope to the more than 100,000 patients waiting for a lifesaving organ transplant, and tens of thousands more who could benefit from tissue transplantation. Our mission is carried out with compassion through dedicated team members who work tirelessly towards the goal we share with our professional partners, the families we serve, and our communities.
