Jeremy Thompson Earns Week 1 Fan Voted Player of the Week Honors

DULUTH, Ga. (December 8, 2022) – The Georgia Swarm fans selected NLL veteran and Swarm newcomer, Jeremy Thompson as the first-ever Georgia Swarm Fan Voted Player of the Week. Each week following a Swarm game, fans have the opportunity to select who they think earned the Player of the Week title by heading to the SwarmZone.

Thompson scored the first goal of the 2022-23 season after a dominating win at the stripe then taking it straight to the hole. The righty transition player totaled three points (2G, 1A) against the Rochester Knighthawks, tying Andrew Kew for second on the team in goals. The 2021 Teammate of the Year won 21-of-27 faceoffs on the night, passing 2,000 career faceoff wins. Thompson is one-of-four players to eclipse the 2,000 win mark and currently ranks fourth all-time.
