Natalie Tarpley is the Head Athletic Trainer for the Georgia Swarm and joined the program during the 2023-2024 season. She is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainers and is licensed in the state of Georgia. She has her Orthopedic Technologist Certification (OTC) through the National Board for Certification of Orthopedic Technologists.
Tarpley earned her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Lees-McRae College, where she also competed on the women’s soccer team. Her professional background outside of the NLL includes work as an orthopedic physician extender and orthopedic surgical first assistant, along with experience in national-level industrial settings and elite youth sports. In 2021, she supported the athletic trainer’s role in the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) HEADS UP campaign, promoting concussion diagnosis and management in sports as healthcare providers.
She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Athletic Trainers in the Physician Practice Society, the Iota Tau Alpha Athletic Training Honors Society, and Chi Alpha Sigma Honors Society.
