Ed Comeau

Head Coach
Ed Comeau

Ed Comeau has spent 21 years coaching in the NLL, which is highlighted by six Champion’s Cup titles, most recently with the Swarm in 2017. After leading the Swarm to a league-best 13-5 regular season record in 2017, Comeau was named the recipient of the prestigious Les Bartley Award, which recognizes the NLL’s Head Coach of the Year.

The Hamilton, Ontario native started his NLL coaching career an assistant with the Toronto Rock and worked alongside the great Les Bartley, where he won four Champion’s Cups (99-00, 02-03). As Rochester’s head coach in ‘07, Comeau led the Knighthawks to a league-best 14-2 regular season record while capturing a Champion’s Cup title and Head Coach of the Year honors. Comeau was also a recipient of the GM of the Year Award in ‘09 when he coached and managed the New York Titans to a 10-6 regular season record and runner-up finish in the postseason. Prior to his time with the Swarm, Comeau served as an assistant coach for the Colorado Mammoth in ’14. Comeau recorded his 100th career regular season win during the 2019-20 season after topping the Philadelphia Wings 12-6 on December 15. He is one of four coaches in NLL history to amass 100 career regular season wins.

Comeau is also the General Manager of Team Canada’s men’s indoor team for the 2019 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship in Langely, B.C. He served as the head coach of Team Canada’s indoor team that won the Gold Medal at the 2015 World Indoor Lacrosse Championships in Syracuse, N.Y.
