League Overview
The Georgia Swarm Box League (SBL) is heading into its 4th season as the premier indoor box lacrosse league in metro Atlanta. The SBL, sponsored by Peachtree Orthopedics, begins play each December and concludes in late January.
The SBL provides instruction and competition for boys, girls, men, and women of all ages. Swarm players (current & former), coaches, and personnel will be on-hand to work with youth and provide valuable guidance to further their game. In the league’s inaugural season in 2023-24, over 500 players participated while the league became the box lacrosse hub of the South. Games will be played this winter at Strikes & Shots (formerly known as Silverbacks Indoor) in Suwanee, GA and at the Northeast Cobb YMCA in Marietta. SBL players are trained and led by some of the best in the business.
Drew Petkoff
- Former National Lacrosse League (NLL) player who played for the Georgia Swarm and three other NLL teams.
- Two-time NLL Champion
- Two-time Mann Cup Champion
- Founder of All Access Lax operating the Atlanta Revolution, Georgia’s first USBOXLA sanctioned indoor lacrosse club that competes at the national level
- Coached the gold medal-winning team at the 2025 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championships
- Ontario native
Don Hilton
- Longtime coach and local educator, having invested over a decade into various Georgia schools and lacrosse programs, including North Forsyth, Roswell, and North Gwinnett
- Served as Head Coach for Florida State’s MCLA program
- Coached the gold medal-winning team at the 2025 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championships
- Played at Albright College and New York Institute of Technology
- Played midfield for the New York Lacrosse Club in the American Lacrosse League
- Long Island native
Ben Greenough
- Coached the Kennesaw State men’s club lacrosse program, after a stint with Howard University as the Defensive Coordinator
