Georgia Swarm transition player Brendan Bomberry and forwards Jerome Thompson, Lyle Thompson, Miles Thompson, Randy Staats, and Zed Williams will represent Team Iroquois in the 2019 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship (WILC).
Taking place in Langley, B.C. from Sept. 19-28, the WILC takes place every four years since its inception in 2003. Team Iroquois has won silver in each WILC and will be looking to unseat Team Canada, who has won gold in every WILC, so far.
The 2019 WILC will be the first time Bomberry and Williams will represent their nation in the international competition. Jerome, Lyle, Miles, and Staats all helped Team Iroquois secure silver in the 2015 finals hosted in Onondaga Nation.
Five of the six players were selected by the Swarm in the first rounds of their respective NLL Entry Drafts.
Bomberry, 24, completed his first NLL season in 2018-19 and was named to the NLL All-Rookie Team. A graduate of Syracuse University, the transition player played in 17 games as a rookie, posting 17 points (7G, 10A), 61 loose balls, and 10 caused turnovers.
Jerome, 31, has spent five seasons in the NLL, the last three playing for the Swarm. Out of Onondaga Community College, the oldest Thompson brother on the Swarm has 46 regular season NLL games under his belt to go along with his 90 points (27G, 63A), 129 loose balls, and nine caused turnovers.
Lyle, 27, completed his fourth season with the Swarm, leading the team in points for a third-consecutive season. The University at Albany alum was the 2017 NLL MVP and was named to the 2016 All-Rookie Team, the 2017 and 2019 All-Pro First Teams, and 2018 All-Pro Second Team. In 72 regular season games with the Swarm, the youngest Thompson brother has 367 points (161G, 206A), 424 loose balls, and 64 caused turnovers.

A graduate of Syracuse University, Staats set an NLL record in points as a rookie, becoming the 2016 NLL ROY and being named to the 2016 All-Rookie Team. Across 64 regular season games in blue and yellow, Staats has 336 points (134G, 202A), 253 loose balls, and 13 caused turnovers.
Williams, 24, played his first full season out the front door for the Swarm in 2018-19. He graduated from the University of Virginia and was selected by the Swarm in the 2018 NLL Entry Draft. Over 27 regular season games, Williams has 53 points (27G, 26A), 110 loose balls, and 11 caused turnovers.
