DULUTH, GA. (Dec 15, 2023) – The Georgia Swarm (1-0) travel to Vancouver for their first road contest of the season this Saturday, December 16 at 10:00 PM ET. The Swarm are coming off a 16-10 victory in their home opener against the Colorado Mammoth on December 9, and now face a 0-1 Warriors squad on the west coast. The Warriors fell to Panther City, 11-7, in the first week of the NLL season.
The last encounter between the Swarm and Warriors dates to February 29, 2020. In that meeting the Swarm emerged with a 14-7 victory over the Warriors. That win marked the Swarm’s first victory of the season against a West Division opponent and their fourth win in the previous five games. The Warriors had a challenging time defending against the Swarm, allowing six power-play goals, with every Swarm forward contributing to the score.
The Swarm dominated the first quarter, establishing a commanding 6-1 lead. The second quarter saw standout performances from Miles Thompson and Lyle Thompson, both scoring hat tricks and maintaining a comfortable 9-3 lead at halftime. Lyle Thompson finished the contest with six points (3G, 3A).
