2017 NLL Combine and Draft Dates

(DULUTH, Ga.) – The NLL recently announced dates for the 2017 NLL Combine and Draft. The NLL Combine is scheduled for Sept. 16-17, and the NLL Draft will be on Sept. 18. Both will take place at the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre (TRAC) in Oakville, Ontario.

The NLL Draft will be aired live on NLLTV.com. Georgia will have three first round picks (No. 4, 7, and 9 overall). The No. 4 pick was received from New England and the No. 7 pick from Toronto, both via trades.

Last year, Georgia had defense on the brain as the Swarm selected Bryan Cole (No. 4 overall) and Connor Sellars (No.10 overall) in the first round, and both saw significant playing time throughout the season. Georgia also selected Leo Stouros (No. 17 overall), who was a key addition towards the end of the 2017 season, and Warren Hill (No. 20 overall).

During the 2017 season, the Georgia Swarm featured 16 first-round picks, and the team posted the best record in the league (13-5) before a postseason sweep that earned the Swarm its first-ever Champion's Cup.

The NLL Combine features prospective players showcasing their abilities in a practice setting through structured games. Players will also participate in a series of interviews with NLL general managers and coaches.

The combine is open to eligible draftees and non-registered free agents who can apply to register online, and players interested in learning more about their draft eligibility can contact the NLL for details.
