A recent graduate of the San Diego State Sports MBA program, Hayley Prudente joins the Georgia Swarm as the Partnerships Services Coordinator in November 2020. Hailing from Long Island, New York, Hayley focused her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on physical and mental wellness by majoring in Exercise Science and minoring in Neuroscience following a high school sports career-ending injury. Hayley was able to stay connected to her passion for sports as an avid UNC basketball fan, recreation facility manager, strength and conditioning coach, and fitness competitor during her four years at UNC. After completing a summer internship at Todd Durkin’s Sports Performance facility, Hayley moved to San Diego to pursue career opportunities in health and fitness after graduation. As she cultivated a diverse network throughout Southern California of successful professionals in the wellness, hospitality, and entertainment industries, she realized the strengths she had developed through study and practical experience – such as sales development, brand activation, and athletic prowess – would best be synthesized in the sports business. For this reason, she decided to take the calculated risk of veering off of her original post-graduate plan by enhancing her professional portfolio through an MBA program at San Diego State University.
During her graduate studies, Hayley worked as an event assistant for the San Diego Legion Major League Rugby team, a Sponsorship Intern with Fox Sports College Properties for San Diego State football and basketball, and as an Event Operations Coordinator with Kilowatt Events, a sports and entertainment production company. Hayley has also completed hundreds of on-site activations as an experiential marketing ambassador with brands such as LG, Southwest Airlines, and Land Rover. Her time on the west coast also granted her access to some of the best national parks in the world, enriching her passion for outdoor recreation and environmental sustainability.
As a member of the Swarm family, Hayley plans to help forge strategic partnerships, manage digital and experiential brand activations, and analyze prospective partnership opportunities through a values-driven lens. Hayley aspires to be an advocate for equality in women’s athletics through non-profit efforts to develop youth and female athletes into the next generation of leaders. As a founding member of the SDSU Women’s Rugby Club, Hayley hopes to join an Atlanta-based women’s rugby team in her spare time and be influential in the modern-day grassroots growth of both lacrosse and rugby that appears analogous to the grassroots growth of soccer in the United States throughout her youth athletics career. Hayley is excited to engage with local and national partners to share Atlanta’s best kept secret with sports fans from across the Southeast.
