(Tuesday, Aug. 25) – The National Lacrosse League’s (NLL) Georgia Swarm is hosting a Select-A-Seat Event this Sunday, Aug. 30 at Infinite Energy Arena (formerly Gwinnett Center) to kickoff its inaugural season in Georgia. The Swarm’s Select-A-Seat Event is open to the general public from 3-6 p.m. and is free to attend.
Fans in attendance for the Select-A-Seat Event will have the opportunity to handpick their Swarm Season Tickets for the 2016 season, which starts in January. Swarm players Kiel Matisz and Alex Crepinsek, head coach Ed Comeau, and team mascot Stinger will be on-hand for autographs and photos. The Swarm’s new home turf inside Infinite Energy Arena will also be on display for the first-time ever.
“This Sunday is a very exciting day for our franchise and fanbase,” Swarm Co-Owner and President Andy Arlotta said. “We look forward to welcoming Swarm fans to Infinite Energy Arena, where they’ll have the opportunity to select the perfect seats for our inaugural season in Georgia. Fans are going to love coming to The Hive to watch the fast-paced action of the NLL and to enjoy our energetic gameday atmosphere. Our organization prides itself in building relationships with our fans, and we’re excited to have members of our team, coaching staff and front office on-site to help answer any questions fans may have.”
Swarm Season Tickets (10 Games) start as low as $21 per ticket, per game in the lower level of Infinite Energy Arena. Fans can also learn about prime seating locations such as On-The-Glass seats, Suites, and Club Level access this Sunday as well. All Swarm home games will take place on weekends and feature FREE PARKING at the arena’s parking lot.
The first 500 attendees on Sunday will receive a FREE SANDWICH COUPON courtesy of Chick-Fil-A at Sugarloaf & Satellite. 92-9 The Game (WZGC-FM) will also be on-hand to join the celebration with a live DJ and booth. In addition, the Swarm will be giving away great prizes such as tickets, player-meet-and-greets, merchandise and car magnets.
Fans interested in receiving priority access to selecting their seats on Sunday can do so by becoming a Colony Club member for only $50. Colony Club members will have private access to the arena from 2-3 p.m. Swarm ticket sales representatives will be on-site for the entirety of the event to assist fans in the seating selection process and to answer any questions.
In addition to the Select-A-Seat Event, the Swarm is also hosting (3) youth box lacrosse clinics on their new home turf at Infinite Energy Arena from 3-6:30 p.m. The clinics are open to Boys and Girls in 3rd-12th grade; the cost to attend is $30 per player.
The clinics offer local lacrosse players the opportunity to learn from Swarm players Kiel Matisz, Alex Crepinsek and head coach Ed Comeau. Both Matisz and Crepinsek will enter their fourth seasons with the Swarm in 2016 and were first-round selections in 2012 after successful collegiate careers on the East Coast.
“It’s our mission to help aide the growth of lacrosse here in the metro Atlanta area,” Arlotta said. “Box lacrosse in particular is well-known for its benefits to lacrosse players of all ages due to the increase in touches a player sees and the tighter shooting and passing lanes. Plain and simple: box lacrosse is great for skill development. This clinic will be a great introduction to real box lacrosse and we look forward to launching our Swarm Youth Box League and Jr. Swarm teams in the near future.”
