Around the NLL storylines – NLL Week 6

While the Swarm’s away, only two games will play in Week 6. Before the Swarm return to Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Field at Infinite Energy Arena on Saturday, Jan. 11 to take on the Buffalo Bandits, fans can enjoy the pair of games this weekend, one featuring two East Division teams. The Swarm’s first game of 2020 will be Lacrosse Out Cancer Night, and Swarm players will wear special themed uniforms available for auction after the game. Fans can find out more details by visiting GeorgiaSwarm.com/LaxOutCancer or by calling 844-4-GASWARM.

Let’s take a look at each matchup this weekend and who leads each team out the front door and protects their net. All stats are from the 2019-20 season and reflect the top scorer and netminder for the respective teams.

PHILADELPHIA WINGS

vs

NEW YORK RIPTIDE

Saturday, Jan. 4 at Nassau Coliseum

Face-off at 7:30 p.m. ET

The first of Saturday’s games pits a sophomore club against a rookie club. The Wings come in hot after a dramatic overtime win, and the Riptide host their second game ever at Nassau Coliseum, hoping to put on a better performance than last weekend.

With the home team searching for their first win and the visiting team looking for their first back-to-back victories in franchise history, this matchup between East Division rivals promises to be a good game.

VANCOUVER WARRIORS

vs

COLORADO MAMMOTH

Saturday, Jan. 4 at Pepsi Center

Face-off at 9:30 p.m. ET

Another divisional battle, the Warriors get on the road to try and scrape up a second win of the season. Standing in their way is one of the hotter teams in the NLL, the Mammoth.

The Warriors are coming off an overtime loss of their own, having played valiantly, but the Mammoth have all the momentum after their 13-11 road win against the Swarm. First place in the West is there for the Mammoth to claim if they come away with the win, and they’ll definitely try to take advantage of playing at home.
