ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

Position Title: Account Executive
Number of positions: 3+

EXPECTATIONS:

The Account Executive positions within the Georgia Swarm Ticket Sales Department will be vital in selling all inventories including, but not limited to, premium seating, season tickets, and group tickets. Account Executives are required to work in a fast-paced environment with a major focus on phone prospecting.  These positions will achieve their goals through cold calls, arena tours, prospecting, networking, and face-to-face meetings.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sell season, group, and premium tickets.​
  • Meet and exceed the necessary outbound call efforts (60+ per day) to achieve established sales goals.
  • Surpass the established sales goals set by management.
  • Grow fan knowledge of the Swarm experience and the sport.
  • Prioritize tasks to maximize lead base and build prospect lists.
  • Build relationships with prospective clients while servicing current accounts.
  • Obtain a firm understanding and knowledge base of Swarm pricing and seat locations.
  • Work within the Swarm’s CRM system and maintain records of all accounts and prospects.
  • Available for all Swarm home games and other team-related networking and community events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree required.
  • Previous experience in sales is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team of front office staff.
  • Possess strong communication skills both on the phone and in-person.
  • Solid organization skills and attention to detail are a must.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs required.
  • Customer service experience preferred but not required.

FAN RELATIONS INTERN

Position Title: Fan Relations / Marketing Intern

Number of Positions Available: 6

Reports To: Director of Business Operations (apply to Matt Ritzer - mritzer@georgiaswarm.com)

EXPECTATIONS:

The Fan Relations Intern position for the Georgia Swarm is responsible for assisting with any and all office/operational tasks including but not limited areas such as sales, marketing, arena installations, fan relations, community relations and lacrosse operations.  The intern may be asked to help in several different areas or departments within the same work day and needs to be able to adapt to the current task.  He or she needs to be able to take any given task and apply their own problem solving, creative and organizational skills with guidance from full-time staff members while completing tasks in a timely and efficient manner.  Internships are unpaid and available only to persons who will be able to receive college or graduate level credit for their work. The Swarm accepts a limited number of internships to ensure that interns gain valuable work experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organize and manage multiple tasks while working with others to complete them.
  • Prioritize tasks given from multiple departments.
  • Assist with game-day set-up and tear-down within the arena.
  • Be in the office a minimum of 2 days per week with varying hours depending on availability.
  • Data entry and research of various information.
  • Work with fans and clients to ensure a continued positive Swarm experience.
  • Independent clerical work, such as filing, data entry, copying and correspondence..

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to commit to working through the 2017 season – (through May 2017).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle little guidance or specific direction depending given tasks.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs required.
  • Customer service experience a plus.

GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN

Position Title:  Graphic Design Intern

Number of Positions Available: 2+

Reports To: Director of Business Operations, Director of Media Relations (apply to Matt Ritzer - mritzer@georgiaswarm.com)

EXPECTATIONS:
The Graphic Design Intern position for the Georgia Swarm is responsible for any and all creative undertakings by the club across a variety of media including web, print, promotional items and arena installation/environment. The intern will service all departments with any creative or design needs, from initial concepts to final production, execution and/or distribution. The Intern Designer is responsible for maintaining the visual integrity of the club as perceived by the market, and for strengthening brand presence within that market. He or she must demonstrate the ability to supply creative solutions on a daily basis to a variety of requested projects while remaining organized and on task. Internships are unpaid and available only to persons who will be able to receive college or graduate level credit for their work. The Swarm accepts a limited number of internships to ensure that interns gain valuable work experience. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organize and manage multiple projects in various stages of progress
  • Formulate design concepts, presentations, templates, layouts, merchandise, installations and other collateral from initial idea to final execution
  • Create advertising campaigns that are followed across a variety of collateral
  • Capturing Corporate Sponsorship Elements (game day, at events, in-arena, etc.)
  • Maintain Sponsorship elements on website, create & execute Social Media promotions for Corporate Sponsors, etc.
  • Develop understanding of target audience and market for specifically aimed marketing pieces
  • Present or pitch ideas, briefs, and concepts to various parties, in and out of house
  • Prioritize and filter work load coming from all departments through a design request form system
  • Design advertisements, print materials, still digital imaging and web graphics
  • Meet all advertising and print deadlines
  • Contribute to the invention and implementation of marketing/communications initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Applicants will be asked to provide samples of their past design work
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft programs preferred
  • Knowledge of basic HTML a plus


MEDIA RELATIONS INTERN

Position Title: Media Relations Intern

Number of Positions Available: 2

Reports To: Director of Media & Lacrosse Relations (apply to Alec Schimke aschimke@georgiaswarm.com)

EXPECTATIONS:
The Media Relations Intern position for the Georgia Swarm is involved in the Swarm’s Media Relations Department and assists the Director of Media Relations in a number of areas. Interns will gain hands-on experience producing Swarm media documents such as media guides, game notes, statistical documents and website content.  The intern will be responsible for their projects from initial concept to final production and distribution with guidance from full-time staff.  Internships are unpaid and available only to persons who will be able to receive college or graduate level credit for their work. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Media Relations department with all pre and post-game setup in the press box, game coverage, and post-game interviews
  • Assist in the production of team publications such as game notes, statistics, and media guides
  • Conduct journalistic interviews in person and over the phone for content on georgiaswarm.com
  • Utilize social media tactics to further the efforts of Swarm social media campaigns

Requirements

  • Applicants must be able to receive college credit for the internship

VIDEO PRODUCTION INTERN

The Video Production Intern position for the Georgia Swarm is responsible for any and all creative video undertakings by the club across a variety of media including web and in-arena.  The intern will service all departments with any video needs, from initial concepts to final production, execution and/or distribution. The Video Production Intern is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the club’s SwarmVision as perceived by the market, and for strengthening brand presence within that market. ·       Working experience with Adobe After Effects a plus

·       Understanding of basic lighting & audio theory
